SIGNORINI TARTUFI

The context

Signorini Tartufi is a truffle specialist with physical shops and a PrestaShop online store selling in France, Europe, Switzerland and the United States. When I take over the site, it is slow (up to 10 seconds before the first byte), shipping costs are managed by hand, and the store does not talk to the shops' POS.

What I did

• Performance : server diagnosis (brute-force attacks on satellite sites, misconfigured preloading, cache), fixes, move to PHP 8.3: response time goes from 10 s to 1.3 s.
• International logistics : UPS, Colissimo and GLS rate grids by zone, free shipping threshold by country via an in-house module, duties-paid shipping to the United States, dedicated US price grid.
• Tax : OSS VAT module (EU distance sales) that prepares the monthly return automatically.
• POS synchronisation : stock import from the shops' POS software (scheduled FTP), the POS stays master of the stock.
• Search : Doofinder on the five languages, mobile and desktop, with promotion rules.
• Operations : backups, audit of scheduled tasks, security of the satellite WordPress sites, order repairs, updates followed.

A store that sells in five languages and three customs zones is not maintained “when there is time”. It is monitored.

Result

A fast site, logistics that no longer need manual intervention, European VAT that calculates itself, and a single contact for the team, reachable when a parcel is stuck at customs.
